Rick and Cheri Hage are the creative husband-and-wife team behind Oodles.
Cheri - Dabbled in sewing and crafts since she was about 8 years old, watching her Grandmother sew. Despite Grandma's warnings of pierced flesh and mangled fingers, Cheri begged to sew on Grandma's electric-converted treadle sewing machine. With Grandma's blessing, Cheri started making doll clothes, eventually graduating to sewing outfits for herself throughout junior high and high school from casual pieces to prom dresses. Cheri signed up for craft and quilt classes frequently, and eventually taught sewing to children and adults over many years.
Rick - Enjoys creating crafts and working with wood to rejuvenate orphaned Antique furniture, and even teaching classes on Furniture Refinishing. Rick uses a coal forge for Blacksmithing and has given hands-on demonstrations at community events and Historic Festivals.
Together - They have been working together, creating and selling "oodles" of pincushions for over 15 years -- Rick's skill of color coordination combined with Cheri's love of fun fabrics make for an awesome team!
Recently, through their love of Antiques, they began collecting Antique and Vintage vessels to transform into pincushions that are one-of-a-kind collectibles. This allows them to indulge in their passion for visiting local auctions.
Rick and Cheri live with their family and slightly-spoiled dog in the scenic and laid-back Amish Country of Northern Indiana.
